Private property: Why consumer privacy is tech's next frontier
What is the one thing that all advertisers, content creators, application developers, and tech companies should all wake up in the morning thinking about?
    People's privacy.
    Why?
It’s the single greatest thing getting in the way between creators and consumers. Today, more than three-quarters of Americans worry about their online privacy. This unprecedented mistrust from the public is having a dismal effect on our industry. And yet, we’re the ones causing this breach of trust. Our

Podcasts are personal — and allow the right brands to whisper in consumer ears, too
Podcasts like This American Life and Serial attract millions of listeners in part because “a podcast is on-demand audio and on-demand is where it’s at,” said E.B. Moss, owner of marketing agency Moss Appeal and contributing writer at MediaVillage.com, at the recent IAB Mixx event in New York.
But audience size is far from the only reason marketers should consider podcasts.
To wit: In order to listen to a podcast, consumers must find and select a podcast, making an active decisi

Why Madison Avenue and Silicon Valley are co-dependent
At IAB Mixx last week, Nick Law, global chief creative officer at R/GA, pointed to Madison Avenue, which tends to have great nostalgia for the simpler time embodied in Mad Men, and Silicon Valley, which, like the HBO series of the same name, is on the other end of the spectrum, looking toward the future with a “crazy utopian view.”
“No one is in the present,” Law said. “These are very different cultures.”

You’ll have to excuse us. Well, you’ll have at least excuse the ABC television affiliate in Los Angeles when they erroneously reported that Bob Bradley, today hired by Swansea City of the Premier League was, in fact, hired as the manager of Chelsea.
It’s quite a different location, both physically and in the standings, with the Welsh club Swansea sitting in 17th place, just outside the relegation zone — and Chelsea getting back to form somewhat and currently in 7th, five

The 6 biggest threats to creative ideas and how to avoid them
In our world there are so many amazing creative ideas that don't make it through to fruition. Even at business level, creative directors often complain when an awesome idea fails to get sold onto the client, or gets dropped half-way through production.
It’s easy to see why they get frustrated -  it will undoubtedly be realised at another agency, within the start-up world, or as a product for a big company in due course.
