• Trump takes aim at SIFI process that ensnared AIG

    President Donald Trump ordered Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin
    to put on hold parts of the 2010 Dodd-Frank law that allowed the
    government to designate AIG and two other insurers as
    "systemically important financial institutions" in a move
    that may precede a full overhaul of the law.

    Brian Duperreault's name has surfaced again in reports about
    the leadership challenge facing AIG.
    The Hamilton Insurance Group CEO is "a leading
    candidate" to replace AIG's top executive, Peter Hancock,
    who announced his resignation under pressure last month, The
    Wall Street Journal said today.
    A day earlier, Barclays analyst Jay Gelb praised Duperreault as
