Conan Ward, CEO of Hamilton Insurance Group's US operations,
has resigned with immediate effect, the company announced today (13
October).
Hamilton chief strategy officer, Bob Deutsch, will take on the
role of acting CEO of Hamilton USA, and will lead the search for
Ward's successor.
"I want to thank Conan for his service to our organisation
and his work in establishing a foundation for the development of
our US operations," said Hamilton CEO Brian Duperreault.

Insured loss of up to EUR650mn for French floods
The Association Franҫaise de l'Assurance has estimated an
insured loss of between EUR550mn ($625mn) and EUR650mn ($738mn) for
the severe flooding in the south of France in early October.
Damage caused by the floods on 3 and 4 October led the French
government to declare an État de Catastrophe Naturelle (state
of natural disaster) in the region and is expected to lead to more
than 60,000 claims, the association said yesterday (12
October).
