Fell-runner Lauren Jeska admits attempted murder of ahtletics official
A former fell-running champion has admitted the attempted murder of British Athletics official after stabbing him in the head and neck. Lauren Jeska, 41, pleaded guilty to trying to kill former rugby player Ralph Knibbs at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham in March, as well as assaulting two other men who stepped in to help him. Jeska, of Machynlleth, Powys, also admitted two charges of having a knife in a public place when she appeared by video-link at Birmingham Crown Court. -
UK okays Alexion drug costing up to $2 million but wants price cut
A new drug to treat a rare inherited bone disorder that was developed by Alexion Pharmaceuticals and could cost up to 1.5 million pounds a year per patient has been cleared for limited use by Britain's health cost watchdog.
