Missing Sussex Coast Plane Crash Pilot Named
The missing pilot of a light aircraft that crashed into the sea off East Sussex has been named. Simon Wells, 44, from Greatstone, Kent, was flying the aircraft which crash into water about half a mile from Rye Harbour and close to Winchelsea Beach. A statement from Sussex Police said: "The Cherokee aircraft comes from a local Aero Club based at Lydd Airport in Kent, and the 44-year man flying it, who is also from Kent, was the sole occupant. -

A major search is under way to find two teenage boys who have disappeared while swimming off Barmouth beach in Wales.
