    As the dark evenings creep in, residents of Rogers House Residential Care Home in Wigmore have been enjoying some creative crafting with an autumn theme, painting pinecones.

    Leading care provider, Meallmore has announced the winners for their ‘Take the Biscuit’ baking challenge, which saw residents and staff compete for the crown of star biscuit baker.
    Inspired by the Macmillan Coffee morning, the competition was open to all staff and residents across Meallmore’s 23 homes and challenged the homes to create the best biscuits with four prize categories up for grabs.   • Kingsclear Nursing Home resident receive message from Loose Women celebrity

    The residents and care team at Kingsclear Nursing Home in Camberley were delighted to receive a message from former Coronation Street and current Loose Women and Hollyoaks star Denise Welch and her two godchildren recently.
     
    Over the course of the current Covid-19 pandemic, Denise has been very vocal both on TV and via social media about her concern for the mental health of those living in care homes.

    Marjorie Light moved into Sunrise of Fleet’s Memory Care Neighbourhood in August. On November 3rd she celebrated turning 84, but for Marjorie, age is but a number.
    Marjorie is extremely active, she is a keen golfer, and enjoys joining Sunrise of Fleet’s gentle exercise classes, using the home’s exercise bike and walking daily. Remarkably, she is still able to do the splits and high kicks.
