  After a loss to Stanford in the NCAA final game in May, UCLA Water Polo head coach Brandon Brooks announced last Friday that he is stepping down. Brooks has a water polo career highlighted with success. He played water polo as a goalie for UCLA and came home with a silver medal from the 2008 Olympic Games. Brooks was an assistant coach for the Bruins since 2004 and was named head coach in June 2009.

• Man Indicted on 12 Counts Related to Crash That Killed Ben Kredich, Son of Tennessee Coach

  A man was indicted on 12 counts related to last August’s vehicular homicide of Ben Kredich, the son of Tennessee director of swimming and diving Matt Kredich.
  Shannon Walker, 44, was charged with vehicular homicide and a DUI after the tragic crash along Kingston Pike near Thimbleberry Road. Ben, 24, was walking to meet Matt for their weekly dinner at Sunspot when the crash occurred. The case was referred to a grand jury last September.

  2024 NCAA qualifier Victoria Raymond has entered the NCAA transfer portal after finishing up her freshman season.
  The Canadian native became Tulane’s 2nd NCAA qualifier in program history as she earned the invite in the 100 butterfly. She was the 27th seed in the 100 fly and was also entered in the 200 fly and 200 back.

  Former NCAA Division II runner-up Landon Driggers has entered the transfer portal after spending one season at the University of Indianapolis and the last two seasons with Tennessee.
  As a freshman, Driggers finished 2nd in the 400 IM at the Divison II NCAA Championships swimming a 3:47.73. He also was 2nd in the 200 backstroke in a 1:44.75. He swam in prelims of the 200 IM (1:48.94, 18th) and 100 back (49.64, 27th) as well.

• Western Connecticut State Cuts Men’s and Women’s Swimming
