  Rocky Romero, one half of New Japan Pro Wrestling tag team Roppongi Vice, paid a small tribute to Shinsuke Nakamura during last night’s Best of the Super Juniors night one. Romero, who won his first Block A match over young lion David Finley, performed Nakamura’s signature running knee lift with theatrics.

  The Allentown Morning Call reports that Jimmy Snuka took the stand in the hearing into his mental competency hearing to determine whether he can stand trial on involuntary manslaughter and third-degree murder in the May 1983 death of Nancy Argentino on Friday. The site reports that Snuka testified for a little over an hour, during which he was questioned by the judge.

  As we reported earlier today, Cody Rhodes (aka Stardust) has officially requested his release from WWE, where he has performed for the last nine years. PWInsider.com also noted that both Cody and his brother Goldust left the WWE Smackdown television tapings early this week, before filming began. Whether or not they were booked for the show or their early departure had anything to do with Cody’s requested release remains to be seen.
