    The early days of POWDER Mag covers were a mixed bag, but generally followed a formula: tight shot of a skier, usually a dude, bursting through an image of pre-climate change blower pow, 200cm skinny skis tips up, no helmet, the rest of their body in somewhat of a flail, and a surprised look on their face.
