  Loveland ski area announced earlier this year that one of their oldest chairlifts would be retired at the end of the 2024/25 season.   A few days ago, Mt. Hutt, a ski resort in New Zealand, hinted that thanks to several feet of early-season snowfall, it might begin running its chairlifts earlier than usual.
