• Vail Celebrates Earliest Opening of 'Legendary Back Bowls' in Years

  It’s not just California and the PNW that are having great early season conditions.
  Vail Mountain announced the opening of its Legendary Back Bowls this morning, December 5, 2024, making it their earliest opening in six years.
  According to the mountain’s press release, High Noon Express (#5) and Sun Down Express (#17) will provide skiers access to Sun Up and Sun Down Bowls. Opening the bowls means that Vail now has more than 2,000 acres of skiable terrain open for the season.
