    Canadian Ski Resort To Open "Lightly" Without A Chairlift
    Sunshine Village, Alberta, has announced that they won't provide chairlift service on Saturday, November 11th -- the resort's planned opening day.Instead of chairlifts, Sunshine will open with access to the Mighty Might Carpet, a large hike park, a toboggan hill, and the Mad Trapper's restaurant. The resort notes that the lack of chairlift service stems from "less than seasonal snow."Tickets for this weekend cost CAD 49, a reduced price that will increase when Sunshine opens its first chairlift.
