    Last Friday, October 13th, after an early season storm, professional skier and mountaineer Caroline Gleich ticked off an important annual milestone at Alta Ski Area, Utah: first turns of the season.Here's the photo recap.This might go without saying, but Gleich's trip up Alta didn't involve riding the lifts -- Alta won't open until November 17th.
