    America's Only Open Ski Resort Announces Closing Day
    Mammoth Mountain, California called it quits on their Winter '22/'23 season this past Sunday, August 6th. The resort was open for 275 days of skiing and riding.Mammoth's extended season was unusual, and was only made possible by record-breaking amounts of snow throughout the season. Meanwhile, Timberline Lodge, located high-up on Oregon's Mount Hood, is accustomed to remaining open for skiing into August on an annual basis.The resort is still open, but announced in an Instagram comment yesterday
