• Fix-it clinic set for Saturday in Taylorsville

  TAYLORSVILLE — The city's Green Committee and the Utah Recycling Alliance will hold a fix-it clinic from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Taylorsville City Hall, 2600 W. Taylorsville Blvd.

  WEST JORDAN — A registered sex offender currently on parole after serving prison time for a child sex abuse conviction now faces new charges of viewing child pornography at work.
  Kirk David Lundgreen, 44, of Salt Lake City, was charged Monday in 3rd District Court with seven counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony.
  The investigation began in July when a local business contacted the Bonneville Community Correctional Center about their janitor, Lundgreen, a parolee.

  SALT LAKE CITY — Nearly 1,800 lives would be saved each year if every state lowered the legal blood alcohol content for driving to .05 percent, according to a new study.

• Waste district to hold public hearing on fee increases Thursday
