    Report: Plane weight, broken part caused fatal crash in 2018
    PHOENIX (AP) - A federal report concludes that a single-engine plane with six people aboard crashed in Arizona in 2018 because it was overweight and had an undetected engine problem.
    The National Transportation Safety Board's report released Tuesday said those circumstances prevented the plane from climbing after takeoff on a flight to metro Las Vegas.
    The two pilots and four passengers on the plane were all killed in the crash near Scottsdale Airport.

    NEW RIVER, Ariz. (AP) - Firefighters from several departments rescued a 17-year-old boy from an abandoned mine shaft.The boy fell about 50 feet down the mine while driving an all terrain vehicle in the northern outskirts of metro Phoenix.

    TUCSON - Motorists traveling on Interstate 10 near Benson are advised to drive with caution after a brush fire ignited in the area.According to Cochise County Sheriff's Office, the fire is burning off of I-10 near Mile Post 292, nine miles west of Empirita Road in Benson.Heavy smoke has been reported in the area.

    TUCSON - A structure fire that ignited Friday afternoon at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base has been extinguished.According to officials, a carport fire ignited at around 12:50 p.m. Friday and spread to an adjacent home. Authorities said crews with 355th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Emergency Services and Tucson Fire Department were able to limit the fire to a single building.
