• Police activity prompts soft lockdown at TUSD middle school

  TUCSON – A Tucson Unified School District middle school was placed on a soft lockdown after school officials were advised of “police activity south of campus” Wednesday afternoon.
  According to TUSD, the school afflicted was Alice Middle School, located on 16th Street near Craycroft Road.Details of what prompted the nearby police presence have not yet been released.
