    BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) — Destiny Slocum scored 26 points and No. 7 Oregon State overcame an 11-point deficit to beat California 82-74 on Sunday.
    Aleah Goodman added 15 points, and Mikayla Pivec had 14 to help Oregon State (20-4, 10-2 Pac-12) win for the 12th time in 14 games.
    Kristine Anigwe led the Golden Bears (14-9, 5-7) with 31 points and 18 rebounds. She became the program’s career leading rebounder, passing Gennifer Brandon. Asha Thomas added 15 points, and Jaelyn Brown had 11.

    HOUSTON (AP) — DeJon Jarreau scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half, Corey Davis Jr. also had 16 and No. 12 Houston held off No. 25 Cincinnati 65-58 on Sunday.
    Jarreau added eight rebounds and five assists. He scored 11 consecutive points in the second half, including six straight to give Houston a 63-58 lead with 3 ½ minutes left. Davis and Jarreau each made free throws in the final 20 seconds to seal it for the Cougars (23-1, 10-1 American Athletic Conference).

  • Marchand’s OT goal lifts Bruins over Avalanche 2-1

    BOSTON (AP) — Brad Marchand scored 4:03 into overtime and the Boston Bruins extended their points streak to seven games with a 2-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday.
    Patrice Bergeron left the puck at the top of the right circle for Marchand, who skated into the slot and fired it past goalie Semyon Varlamov to extend his franchise record with 14 career overtime goals.
    John Moore also scored and Jaroslav Halak made 35 saves for the Bruins, who improved to 4-0-3 in their last seven.
