    SPOKANE, Washington – A newborn calf was left frozen by a winter storm in Spokane, Washington.
    ‘Oreo’ was found covered in snow and ice, but farmers brought the little guy indoors to thaw him out. To help him heal, they had to rub a towel on him in the same way his mother would have licked him.

  • Naked man who attacked Phoenix police officer last week dies

    PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities say a man who was naked when he attacked a police officer last week has died.
    Phoenix police say it will be up to the Maricopa County medical examiner to determine the cause of death for 40-year-old Casey Wells.
    Officers received a call about indecent exposure in a neighborhood on Feb. 4.
    They found Wells with no clothes on and acting erratically.

    The head of Britain’s film academy says the lack of female directors in awards competition represents “an industry-wide problem.”
    The British Academy Film Awards have been criticized for not nominating any women for best director this year. Only one woman, Kathryn Bigelow, has ever been named best director at the British prizes, for “The Hurt Locker” in 2010.

  • Pacers make it officials by adding Matthews to roster

    INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Free agent guard Wesley Matthews has officially signed with the Indiana Pacers.
    The move was first reported following Thursday’s trade deadline, but the Pacers couldn’t announce it until Sunday. Matthews was waived by the Knicks after a deal that sent Kristaps Porzingis to Dallas and cleared waivers on Saturday.
    Terms of the deal were not announced.
