• Tucson man sentenced to prison for vehicle theft, burglary

    TUCSON – A Tucson man is headed to prison for stealing a Jeep, and other property crimes.
    According to the Pima County Attorney’s Office, David Petri was sentenced to nine and a half years in prison earlier this week.
    Petri faced charges including theft of a means of transportation, theft of a credit card and burglary.
    He was convicted last November in Pima County Superior Court.

    TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Police in Tucson say they’re investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide at an apartment complex on the city’s east side.
    They say the bodies of a man and woman were discovered during a welfare check Tuesday.
    Police say it appears the victim died from gunshot wounds.

  • Man found dead on Pennsylvania highway, shot in head, coroner says

    DAUPHIN COUNTY, Penn. (WGAL) – Pennsylvania State Police now say the death of a man found along I-81 in Dauphin County was NOT the result of road rage.
    State police told WGAL that what happened to 46-year-old Tyrone Shaw, of Roselle Park, New Jersey, was an isolated incident and that there’s no danger to the public.

    TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Cardinals have claimed linebacker Tanner Vallejo off waivers from the Cleveland Browns.
    Vallejo appeared in 13 games for Cleveland last season, making one start. The Browns claimed him off waivers from Buffalo.
    He was a sixth-round selection by the Bills out of Boise State in the 2017 draft. Vallejo had 20 tackles on defense and seven on special teams for the Browns last year. He also had one forced fumble.

    ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Police suspect a man who died in an explosion behind an Albuquerque, New Mexico, strip mall intended to kill himself.

    AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The full 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will reconsider whether Texas can eliminate Planned Parenthood from the state Medicaid program.
