    TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Officials say six passengers fell ill on a Frontier Airlines flight from Cleveland to Tampa.
    WFLA-TV reports health officials boarded the plane when it landed at Tampa International Airport on Tuesday afternoon and the sick passengers were removed. Officials say they are being held for observation. The sick passengers were not traveling together.
    The remaining passengers were kept on the plane for about an hour after it landed. Those passengers deplaned around 4:30 p.m.

    MIAMI (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard is continuing its search for two people missing off a boat off Florida’s Atlantic Coast.
    The agency said in a news release that they’re looking for a 9-year-old Haitian national and a Bahamian national who is a suspected migrant smuggler. They were aboard an 18-foot (5.5-meter) boat that capsized Sunday with 11 people onboard.

    TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Tucson may get up to two inches of snow overnight in what the National Weather Service is very impressive snowfall.

    OSLO, Norway (AP) — Petra Vlhova of Slovakia beat overall World Cup leader Mikaela Shiffrin in both runs of the final to win a parallel slalom city event Tuesday.
    In the men’s race, Austria’s Marco Schwarz claimed the first World Cup victory of his career when British opponent Dave Ryding missed a gate.

  • Cash-loving Germans face strike by security van drivers

    BERLIN (AP) — Germans hoping to do some New Year’s shopping may find themselves without the cash to do so amid a strike by security van drivers.
    The ver.di union said Tuesday it’s urging 12,000 employees of firms that distribute cash to banks and stores to walk out on Jan. 2, the first regular day of business in Germany in 2019.
    Cash remains the preferred method to buy many items in Germany and cards are often rejected in smaller stores and restaurants.

  • Driver severely injured after ejected from vehicle on I-19 near Green Valley

    TUCSON – One person was severely injured Monday night after their vehicle was involved in a rollover crash on Interstate 19 at KP 63 near Green Valley.
    Green Valley Fire Crews were called for an MVA at I-19 at KP 63 NB/ GVFD
    According to officials, a vehicle was traveling northbound when the incident occurred. Authorities say the driver was ejected from the vehicle, resulting in life-threatening injuries.
    Green Valley Fire District crews transported the driver to the hospital.
