    RABAT, Morocco (AP) — Moroccan authorities have detained a Swiss-Spanish man for suspected links to Islamic extremists who allegedly killed two Scandinavian hikers.

    A retired bishop who led Roman Catholic dioceses in Delaware and Rhode Island has died. He was 88.
    A statement posted on the Diocese of Providence’s website says former Bishop Robert E. Mulvee died on Friday at St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield, Rhode Island, after a brief illness.

    McALESTER, Okla. (AP) — A worker at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary is facing felony drug charges after authorities say more than 40 grams of methamphetamine were discovered in his prosthetic leg during a search of the prison’s death row.
    The McAlester News-Capitol reports 35-year-old Adam Michael Siemer of McAlester was charged Thursday with felony drug trafficking and bringing contraband into a prison.
