    REDDING (CBS13) — A Caltrans highway maintenance worker rescued a woman who had crashed into the icy water of the Feather River.
    The incident happened back on March 10. Caltrans District 2 says one of their workers, Travis Sutton, was plowing snow on Highway 70 when he noticed some tracks that led off the road and towards the river.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Sacramento city council has passed a new ordinance designed to crack down on illegal fireworks.
    On Tuesday, the council passed the ordinance that fines property owners where illegal fireworks are being used. People who use illegal fireworks on streets and sidewalks in front of people’s homes can also be fined.
    The initial fine would be $1,000 and go up to $5,000 for multiple violations.

    Police say Francisco Castellon Gonzalez plowed into a bicyclist Monday morning on Lander Avenue and later crashed his truck after witnesses followed him from the scene.
