    VACAVILLE (CBS13) – A search is on for the three men suspected in a brutal unprovoked attack in Vacaville, police say.
    The incident happened on Oct. 11 near the Neighborhood Walmart on Elmira/Nut Tree Road. Vacaville police say a man had walked over to the store to shop, only to find it closed for the evening.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – California Highway Patrol officer Sean Poore apparently took his own life while on duty in his patrol car, officials say. Officer Poore was based out of CHP’s South Sacramento division.
    On Tuesday, Poore was found in his patrol car with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, CHP says.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Global Winter Wonderland is coming back to Sacramento, and that means some seasonal positions will be soon up for grabs.

    ELK GROVE (CBS13) – Nothing was going to stop the hair stylists at an Elk Grove salon from finishing the job, not even a little smoke.

  • Police: 2 Women Sought In Series Of Roseville Grocery Store Wallet Thefts

    ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – Police are asking for help in finding two women suspected in a series of recent wallet thefts in Roseville.
    Roseville police say they’ve gotten multiple reports from several businesses in the city about the two women. The women are accused of stealing wallets right out of unsuspecting victims’ purses while shopping at grocery stores.
    Police say at least five thefts are being linked to the suspects.

    ARDEN ARCADE (CBS13) – A firefighter is recovering after he partially fell through a roof while fighting a fire at an Arden Arcade business Wednesday evening.

  • Judge Decides Davis Killer Daniel Marsh Will Remain In Prison

    WOODLAND (CBS13) – The Davis man convicted when he was a teen of murdering an elderly couple will remain in adult court, a judged decided on Wednesday.
    Daniel Marsh was 15 when he was convicted and sentenced to 52-years-to-life in prison for the grisly 2013 killing of Davis couple Oliver Northup and Claudia Maupin. 
    However, Proposition 57 now requires judges to decide if minors will be tried as adults – which wasn’t available when marsh was initially tried.
