    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A woman walking on the freeway near the eastbound Highway 50 and Interstate 5 was hit and killed Friday morning.

    YOLO (CBS13) – A wrong-way driver caused a crash along Interstate 5 north of Woodland early Friday morning.
    The crash, which happened around 4:30 a.m., prompted all northbound lanes to be closed for a few hours.

    PHOENIX (AP) — An Arizona man who fell to the bottom of an old abandoned mine shaft, broke both his legs, fought off a trio of rattlesnakes and went two days without food or water before a friend heard his cries for help is lucky to be alive, said the head of a rescue team.
