    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Sacramento Police will be holding a DUI checkpoint on Friday night.
    The department announced the sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint will be on Power Inn Road near Elder Creek Road starting at 7:30 p.m. and running for five to seven hours.
    The checkpoints are based on collision statistics and the frequency of DUI arrests, resulting in the areas that will benefit the most from the added police presence.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CBS13/AP) – Beale Air Force Base plans to resume training flights for the U-2 spy plane this week following a crash that left one pilot dead and another injured in Northern California.
    Base officials said Thursday that training missions were put on hold so personnel could respond to Tuesday’s crash west of the base. However, Col. Larry Broadwell says in a statement that global U-2 intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions were not interrupted.
