  SACRAMENTO (AP) — Officials say a female inmate found unconscious at the Sacramento County Main Jail later died at a hospital.
  Sacramento sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Tony Turnbull says in a news release that the 48-year-old inmate was found unresponsive Sunday morning. Deputies immediately notified emergency medical personnel then attempted lifesaving measures.

  LOS ANGELES (AP) – Three college students from California are among the 32 new Rhodes scholars who have been chosen to pursue post-graduate studies at Oxford University in England.
  Megan G. Musilli, a senior math major at the U.S. Naval Academy and a native of El Dorado Hills, plans to become a physician in the Navy.
  Musilli’s research includes the study of traumatic brain injury and MRI scanning techniques and the concept of genetic algorithms and state machines in data compression.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A local Thai restaurant is closed after health inspectors found cockroaches in their kitchen.
  According to the County of Sacramento, “The Coconut” in Midtown has been temporarily shut down because cockroaches, dead and alive, were discovered in their kitchen as well as storage and prep areas.

  WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Habitat for Humanity has a new program helping homeowners with much needed repairs.
  “The roof, the garage, they’re painting,” said homeowner Virginia Valenti.

• Motorcyclist Killed In Fiery Crash On I-80 Near Fairfield

  FAIRFIELD (CBS13) – A motorcycle rider was killed in a fiery crash on Interstate 80 Saturday afternoon.
  The scene was on the westbound side of the freeway, near the Interstate 680 connector.
  According to the Fairfield Fire Department, firefighters showed up at the scene a little before 2 p.m. and found that the motorcycle was fully engulfed in flames. The whole westbound side of the freeway was blocked due to the crash.
