  NEW KENSINGTON (KDKA) — Three people were taken to the hospital after a fire at Parnassus Manor in Westmoreland County. Two of those people are being treated for smoke inhalation.
  According to emergency dispatchers, the fire broke out Parnassus Manor on Main Street in New Kensington after 3:30 p.m.
  A fire was reported on the second floor of the complex. When crews arrived, there was a fully-involved fire on an apartment on the second floor.

  PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Hunters harvested 3,600 black bears in Pennsylvania last year, making it the sixth-best season.It was around 1,000 fewer bears than the record of 4,600 that was set in 2019.Locally, Fayette County had the highest harvest numbers with 43 bears, followed closely behind Butler County with 42.There were three bears harvested in Allegheny County.

  PITTSBURGH (KDKA)– A movie that was filmed in Pittsburgh has been nominated for nine NAACP Image Awards.Ma Rainey’s “Black Bottom” is based on a play written by August Wilson.Among the nominations is one for Outstanding Motion Picture.Black Bottom starred the late Chadwick Boseman in what ended up being his final role.He earned two of the nominations.

• Pittsburgh Police Warn Against Leaving Car Running During Winter Due To Increase In Stolen Cars

  PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh Police have a warning for residents: do not leave your car running if you’re not in it.According to police, many of the 50 cars that have been reported stolen in the last month had been left running without the owner in the car.Nine cars were stolen outside of restaurants or gas stations and on one street alone, four delivery drivers had their cars stolen.Seven other cars were stolen when their owners left them running to warm up.

• Port Authority Upgrading Lighting In Downtown Tunnels

  PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Port Authority is planning to upgrade the lighting in its downtown tunnels.The new LED lights will be 35% more efficient and last longer than regular lights.The $3.5 million project will begin near the Steel Plaza stop on Thursday.
