    PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh announced over a dozen new church mergers, now reducing the number of parishes from 107 to 81.
    Bishop David Zubik announced the news on Saturday, saying 40 parishes across Southwestern Pa. will be part of these mergers — creating a total of 14 new parishes.
    In a letter sent to parishioners, Zubik said this has not been a simple task.

    ARMSTRONG COUNTY (KDKA) — Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a man after an arrest warrant was issued following a double shooting in Armstrong County.
    37-year-old Chad Goldstrom of New Kensington is accused of shooting two people.

    According to Pa. State Police, around 3:00 p.m. on Sunday along Market Street in Leechburg, Goldstrom fired multiple shots at two men and hit both of them.

    PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Part of I-376 inbound was shut down early Tuesday morning after a car collided with a tractor-trailer.
    The accident happened just after the Robinson exit.

    ASHTABULA, Oh. (KDKA) — After spending 842 days at a shelter in Ohio, one lucky dog has found a new home.
    In a social media post shared on Saturday, the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League posted that Mia, a 3-year-old pit bull terrier had been adopted.

    Shell Cracker Plant Expands Coronavirus Testing After Thanksgiving Holiday

    MONACA (KDKA) — The Shell cracker plant in Monaca says it has expanded COVID-19 testing of workers following the Thanksgiving holiday.
    The onsite testing lab has doubled its capacity and was open Sunday for workers who had traveled out of state.
    The company says that as of Tuesday, there were 77 cases of Coronavirus among their 7,000 workers.
    They sat most of the infections were contracted off of the job site.
