  PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pirates announced on Sunday that pitcher Nick Burdi underwent Tommy John surgery on October 14 in Dallas.Burdi was re-evaluated as part of the 10-12 week rehab process and it was determined that he would require surgery.He is projected to return to full competitive baseball activities in 16-18 months.

  SOMERSET, Pa. (AP) — Two people were found dead after a house fire in western Pennsylvania over the weekend, authorities said.
  The (Somerset) Daily American reports that the blaze in Somerset was reported at about 6 a.m. Saturday.
