    HARRISBURG (KDKA) — The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting 938 new cases of Coronavirus on Thursday, in addition to 44 more deaths overnight.
    That brings the statewide total number of cases to 59,636.

    PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The Allegheny County Health Department is reporting just six new cases of Coronavirus on Thursday, and no additional deaths.
    The number of cases county-wide now totals 1,551.
    According to county health officials, that total number consists of 1,474 confirmed cases and 77 probable cases.
    Officials report that 283 patients have been or are presently hospitalized among all cases. That’s actually down two from Wednesday’s numbers.

    HARRISBURG (KDKA) – Those wanting to cast a line for the first time may get more opportunities in the future thanks to a new bill introduced in Harrisburg.The legislation aims to increase fish for free days to four.This would mean those wanting to go fishing without a license would have four days where no license would be required.As it currently stands, there are two fish for free days and they are usually held during Memorial Day Weekend and Fourth of July Weekend.

    NEW CASTLE (KDKA) – A late-night fire destroyed a home that was under renovation in New Castle.Around 11:00 p.m. the fire broke out at the home on Pennsylvania Avenue.The flames spread to a neighboring house which woke up the man living there. He was able to get out of his home safely.According to the neighbor, a couple had been renovating the home where the fire started and they were there earlier in the day.The cause of the fire is under investigation.
