  DILLSBURG, Pa. (AP) — An animal welfare group says two “terrified” cats were found in plastic bags along the side of a road in Pennsylvania.
  Speranza Animal Rescue said in a Facebook post that a volunteer spotted a box near a motel along Route 15 in Dillsburg in York County on Thursday night and stopped to check it out.

• Strong Winds Topple A Tree, Burying A Car In Brookline

  PITTSBURGH (KDKA)–Strong winds uprooted a couple hundred foot tree on Plainview Avenue in Brookline overnight Sunday.
  The homeowner, Jim Fedunok, said this happened around 4 a.m. Sunday. The tree toppled onto his car and totaled it. It caused an estimated $1800 worth of damage to his home.

  Pittsburgh Police say a man entered the store, and instead of grabbing cash from the register, he took the whole register and ran away.

  (CNN) — More common heartburn medications have been recalled due to the presence of an impurity that might cause cancer.
  Denton Pharma Inc. recalled several batches of ranitidine tablets. The recall impacts all unexpired lots of 150 mg and 300 mg tablets. The pills were distributed to Northwind Pharmaceuticals LLC and Crosswind Pharmacy.

  More than 900 Duquesne Light customers were in the dark, mostly in Ross Township, Oakland, and McCandless.

• High Voltage Line Starts Two-Alarm Fire In Oakland

  PITTSBURGH (KDKA)–Fire crews responded to a two-alarm fire in Oakland around 5:00 a.m. Sunday.
  The fire started when a high voltage line came down and hit the building at the corner of Robinson and Terrace Streets.
