    SOUTH BUFFALO TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A 27-year-old from Kittanning was arrested for DUI after a traffic stop led police to allegedly discover nearly 20 bags of heroin in his car.
    According to Pennsylvania Police, the traffic stop happened Friday night on Route 28 and Horseshoe Drive in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.
    Police say they found the driver of the stopped Jeep to be in possession of 17 bags of heroin.

  • Police Investigate $1,250 Worth Of Tools Stolen From Somerset Co. Contractor

    STOYSTOWN (KDKA) – A person stole $1,250 worth of tools from All Pro Painting and Renovations on the Lincoln Highway from the beginning of March to October, according to a Pa. State Police report released on Friday.
    The unknown suspect stole a Grayco Paint Sprayer, Hitachi Circular Saws, DEWALT 20 volt batteries and a Warner 24′ extension ladder.
    The sprayer is valued at $500, the saw at $200, the batteries at $50 and the ladder at $150.

    PITTSBURGH (AP) – After four years of testing, the Pennsylvania Turnpike says it plans to move ahead with a $129 million project to become a completely cashless toll system in two years, eliminating hundreds of toll collecting and auditing positions along the way.

  • Crafton House Damaged After It’s Hit By A Car

    PITTSBURGH (KDKA)–A driver attempting to turn around on Union Avenue in Crafton ended up hitting a retaining wall instead.
    Police say the driver tried to go in reverse and hit the gas instead of the brakes.
    That’s when he hit a dividing wall and drove into a house.
    It will take some work to repair the damage, but the house is still livable, according to Crafton VFD Chief Mike Crown.
