    GREENSBURG (KDKA) – A local man is on trial for allegedly distributing the drugs that his brother fatally overdosed on.Surrounded by friends and family, 31-year-old Markus McGowan entered the Westmoreland County Court House accused of dealing deadly fentanyl, some of which killed his younger brother in December of 2016.
    Prosecutors say McGowan sold the powerful narcotic to his 22-year-old brother Matthew and a female friend of his brother for $60 inside his Jeannette home.

  • Firefighters Find Group Of Kittens In Storm Drain

    LOWER BURREL, Pa. (KDKA)– Station 69 of the Lower Burrel Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to save a group of kittens in distress.
    Four kittens were stuck in a storm drain– two were in the sewer, one was in a downspout pipe, and another one was halfway between the storm basin and a pipe.
    Local homeowners helped the junior volunteer members move the kittens from the drain to a bucket.Authorities say the kittens were distributed among neighbors and given to good homes.

    PITTSBURGH (KDKA)– The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority have found high levels of lead in the water of some local homes.
    PWSA crews collected more than 170 samples of water from homes that are likely to have lead service lines or plumbing done.

    The roller coaster was shut down back on Saturday for what the park called maintenance.
