    PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A man who had dozens of exotic animals seized from his Beechview home earlier this month is being charged with 36 counts of animal neglect.
    Authorities conducted a search warrant at the home of Marc McGowan on June 11 and found 33 animals inside in poor conditions. Some were dead, some were alive.
    He voluntarily surrounded them over to animal welfare agents, who brought them to the Humane Animal Rescue.

    HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – Gov. Tom Wolf has commuted the sentence of the brother of prize-winning author John Edgar Wideman in a 1975 killing, clearing the way for his release.
    Sixty-eight-year-old Robert Wideman was sentenced to life without parole in a case that was the subject of his older brother’s 1984 acclaimed memoir “Brothers and Keepers.” The book was a finalist for a National Book Critics Circle award.

    EST CHESTER, Ohio (AP) – Authorities have charged the husband of one of the victims with the slayings of four family members in an Ohio suburban community.
    West Chester Township police said Tuesday that 36-year-old Gurpreet Singh has been arrested. He had called 911 on April 28 to say he found the four “on the ground and bleeding.”
    A coroner said a man and three women died from gunshot wounds to the head.

    DUQUESNE, Pa. (KDKA) – Several people are injured after a car rear-ended another in Duquesne.
    City of Duquesne Police say the accident happened around 11 this morning on State Route 837 and Commonwealth Avenue.They say the silver Ford Explorer was stopped on Commonwealth Avenue waiting for the light to turn green when the black Chevy Impala struck the Ford from the rear.
    The impact of the crash caused both cars to skid across the intersection.

    PITTSBURGH (KDKA)– Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone 4 responded to reports of shots fired.
    Police say the incident occurred on the 400 block of Elizabeth Street around midnight of July 2.
    Authorities found a male victim with a graze wound on his shoulder.
