  LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) – Police say human remains found in a suitcase along a Georgia interstate nearly three years ago were those of a missing woman.
  A Gwinnett County police news release Friday says they belonged to Jessica Ashley Manchini, who would have been 29 when the bones were discovered in July 2016 along Interstate 985 in Buford.
  Police say faded ink on a tag on the suitcase was unsuccessfully tested in 2016, but it was re-examined this month with new technology.

  ERIE, Pa. (AP) – A lawsuit filed by the family of a work-release inmate who died after suffering an asthma attack has been settled for $1.1 million.
  The Erie Times-News reports notice of the settlement was filed Friday, ending the legal fight between Erie County and the family of 48-year-old Felix Manus.

  HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – Lawmakers are sending legislation to Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf to help Pennsylvania’s counties afford new voting machines, but the bill contains changes to voting laws that prompted opposition from Democratic lawmakers.
