  • Florida Man Sentenced For Bank Fraud In West Virginia

    WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) – A Florida man has been sentenced to five months in prison for stealing personal information from bank customers to make purchases.
    Prosecutors say 26-year-old Roger Ernesto Ballester Caser of Hialeah, Florida was sentenced last week in federal court in Wheeling on one count of using an unauthorized access device. He also was ordered to pay more than $11,000 in restitution.

    PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – One Pittsburgh Marathon runner is going home with more jewelry than her medal.The Pittsburgh Public Safety Department posted this video to Facebook showing a man getting down on one new to propose as his girlfriend crosses the finish line.
    The deaprtment posted with the video, “From high fives with Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Chief Schubert at the finish line to a proposal! ”
    Pittsburgh Police Chief Scott Schubert was nearby when the couple got engaged.

    PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Nearly 200 people were treated by emergency medical staff during the Pittsburgh Marathon on Sunday.
    According to a spokesperson from UPMC, 172 runners were treated by the UPMC medical team that was sponsored by UPMC Sports Medicine and UPMC Emergency Medicine.

    BRADY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) – One person was taken to the hospital via medical helicopter following an apparent shooting in Brady Township Sunday.The Butler Eagle reports that a STATMedEvac helicopter landed at the Unionville Volunteer Fire Department at approximately 11:30 a.m. to take a patient that was police say was involved in a shooting.According to authorities, the shooting occurred in Brady Township.

    (CNN) — At least 13 people are dead after a fire broke out aboard an Aeroflot flight in Russia Sunday, Russian state news agency TASS said.
    The Russian Superjet 100 was flying from Moscow to Murmansk when a fire broke out on board. Aeroflot Flight SU1492 returned to Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport, making a hard landing, news agency Interfax reported.

    PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Saturday evening at approximately 7:40, Pittsburgh Police, EMS, Fireboat and River Rescue responded to the Allegheny River underneath the 9th Street Bridge to reports of a male in the river, according to officials.
