    DUQUESNE (KDKA) – One man has been arrested for allegedly throwing a loaded firearm from a vehicle during a police chase in Duquesne early Sunday morning.
    The incident happened around 12:40 a.m. near Route 837 and Fairmont Avenue.
    According to a criminal complaint, officers saw a pickup truck that had a brake light out. The driver was also swerving and not staying in his lane.
    Officers tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver sped off.

    CANONSBURG (KDKA) — A Washington County road has been shut down after a crash Sunday afternoon.
    It happened just before 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Route 19 and Weavertown Road in Canonsburg.
    According to emergency dispatchers, two vehicles were involved in the crash and at least two people were transported to the hospital.
    Emergency dispatchers said around 5:40 p.m. that Route 19 North was closed.
    The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

    SAYRE, Okla. (KDKA) — Authorities in Oklahoma say a woman used a “novel approach” to try to smuggle contraband into a prison.
    It happened at the North Fork Correctional Center in Sayre, Okla., on March 10.
