    KNOXVILLE (KDKA) — Crews rescued three from a fire in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville neighborhood on Monday.
    Firefighters were called to a home on Moore Avenue near Grimes Avenue just after 4 p.m.

    Three people were in the house at the time of the fire and one was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. A neighbor ran into the house to rescue a dog that was trapped inside.

    The company says since Sunday morning, the high winds have caused service interruptions to more than 125,000 customers across Allegheny and Beaver counties.

    SOMERSET, Pa. (KDKA) – Sergeant Mark Baserman died one year ago while working at the State Correctional Institution at Somerset.
    Baserman died of injuries suffered from an assault by Paul Jawon Kendrick, who was serving a life sentence. Basereman died 11 days after the attack from the then-22-year-old inmate.

    BRADDOCK HILLS (KDKA) — Allegheny County Police say a man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman in the neck multiple times in Braddock Hills late Monday morning.
    Officers and paramedics were sent to an apartment in Brinton Towers on Locust Street just before noon.
    When they arrived at the scene, they found a 58-year-old woman suffering from multiple puncture wounds to the neck. She was transported to a local trauma center in critical condition.

    PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The FBI is investigating an alleged nationwide business insurance fraud scheme.
    Authorities want to find businesses that may be victims of the scam that claimed to offer workers’ compensation insurance, health care insurance and pension plans.
    According to the FBI, the American Labor Alliance and two of its executives were charged with mail fraud, conspiracy to commit mail fraud and money laundering in January.

    Police say Mark Bope, 64, of Pittsburgh has been charged with soliciting someone to commit prostitution in Palm Beach County.
