    PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The first baby born in the Pittsburgh area this year had some stiff competition.
    Several babies were born in the first hour of 2019, but the very first one was little Miles Everett Bartko.

    Born at 12:37 a.m. at Excela Health in Westmoreland County, Miles weighed in at seven pounds, five ounces and 18.5 inches long.

    NORTH MAHONING, Pa. (AP) — A fast-moving house fire in western Pennsylvania that killed an 11-year-old girl has been ruled an accident.
    Investigators say an electrical problem sparked Sunday morning’s blaze in North Mahoning. The girl’s father and her sister were injured in the fire, which destroyed the family’s home.

    (CNN) — Social media star Cameron Dallas was arrested by police in Colorado following an alleged assault at a hotel.
    Around 5 a.m. Saturday, an ambulance was called to the Hyatt Residences Grand Aspen, where a man was bleeding from facial injuries, according to a statement from the Aspen Police Department.

    CLEVELAND (AP/KDKA) – The case against an Ohio fertility clinic that had a storage tank malfunction that destroyed over 4,000 eggs and embryos will resume in January.
