    BURLINGTON, N.C. (CBS) — A lion escaped its enclosure and killed a recent college graduate at a North Carolina conservatory during a routine cleaning, the center said Sunday. The lion was later shot and killed.

    PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Before Sunday’s Steelers game at Heinz Field, the team announced a $70,000 donation to the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh’s Victims of Terror fund.
    The money was raised in cooperation with Underground Printing and Tim Hindes, who created the “Stronger Than Hate” design that has been printed on t-shirts and other products since the mass shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill.

    GLASSPORT, Pa. (KDKA) – An investigation by Animal Control has led to a Glassport Police investigation after two dogs were found shot in Glassport.
    One of the dogs was found dead under a pile of concrete blocks at the Glassport Dump on Virginia Avenue on Sunday morning. It reportedly had Christmas lights on it.

    PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A Cranberry Township man who was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle Wednesday night has died.
    According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, 22-year-old Aleksander Teimouri was taken off life support early Saturday morning.
    Teimouri suffered a severe head injury when officials say he was struck by an SUV while riding his bicycle home from work at a restaurant along Rochester Road in Cranberry Township.
