  PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Before you eat any more eggs in your fridge, check the carton first!
  According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Rose Acre Farms in Indiana is voluntarily recalling 206,749,248 eggs because they have the potential to be contaminated with salmonella.

  NEW YORK (AP) – Authorities say overloaded power strips sparked the deadly Trump Tower fire in New York City that sent flames and thick, black smoke pouring from windows of the president’s namesake skyscraper.

  SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — A man was thrown from his vehicle and killed after he hit a deer in Fayette County early Sunday morning.
  It happened around 3:20 a.m. on Mill Run Road in Springfield Township.
  State police say 28-year-old Paul Cole, of Mill Run, Pa., was driving near the entrance to the Yogi Bear Campground when he hit a deer in the road.

  HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – Pennsylvania traffic deaths are at their lowest number since such records began to be kept in 1928.
  The state Transportation Department said Monday that 1,137 people died on roadways last year, fueled by drops in impaired driver crashes, pedestrian deaths and fatalities involving victims who weren’t wearing seatbelts or other proper restraints.

  (CNN) — The world’s largest Lego replica of the doomed Titanic liner was built over 700 hours — 11 months — by a 10-year-old boy from Reykjavik, Iceland, who is on the autism spectrum.
