  PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Several people were hurt Saturday in an East Hills shooting.
  It happened around 12:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of Park Hill Drive.
  Police tell KDKA that a man was outside working on a vehicle, while an adult female and 11-year-old girl were in a separate vehicle nearby.
  That’s when the shooter or shooters came out from nearby woods and fired at least 15 shots.

  It happened in broad daylight in the East Hills along Park Hill Drive. Shots rang out in the Mapleridge Apartments just after 12:30 p.m.

  NEW CASTLE (KDKA) — A man is dead in New Castle after a standoff with New Castle City Police, following a domestic incident.
  Officers were called for a domestic dispute that took place at a separate address.
  The suspect then entered a home in the 1700 block of South Jefferson Street, where he barricaded himself inside the house.
  That standoff ended around 10:30am., when police say the suspect inside the house apparently shot himself to death.

• Panda Has Surgery To Remove ‘Lemon-Sized’ Bamboo Mass

  WASHINGTON (AP) – The Smithsonian National Zoo says its giant panda cub Bei Bei is recovering following surgery to remove a “lemon-sized mass of bamboo” from his small intestine.
  The Smithsonian said in a statement that the “life-saving” surgery was performed Friday.
  The zoo says that the 1-year-old showed signs of stomach discomfort and nausea on Thursday. The zoo says he was sleeping more than normal and not eating.

  SAN ANTONIO (AP) – Police say a man trying to stop another man from beating a woman in a crowded San Antonio parking lot has been shot dead and a bystander has been critically wounded.
  The shooting happened Friday afternoon outside a Wal-Mart store.

• Man Dead After ATV Rolls Down 15 Foot Embankment

  SHELOCTA (KDKA) — A 48-year-old man is dead after being in an ATV crash in Indiana County.
  The Indiana County Coroner reports Daniel Jason Ling was found near 941 Birds Road in Shelocta around 9 p.m. Friday night.
  Investigators believe Ling’s ATV crossed a berm, causing the vehicle to roll down a 15 foot embankment.
  Ling was found with the ATV on top of his body and pronounced dead at the scene.
  His cause of death was listed as traumatic asphyxia.
