  BRIDGEVILLE, Del. (AP) – Delaware State Police say one person has been critically injured after an apparatus used to launch pumpkins into the air exploded.
  The incident occurred Sunday at the Punkin Chunkin Contest in Bridgeville. The town is about 40 miles south of Dover.
  Contestants launch pumpkins with a variety of homemade contraptions. The event had been cancelled for the past two years because of problems finding insurance.

  According to emergency dispatchers, the fire was reported just before 1 a.m. at the Millers Trailer Court in Georges Township.

  PENN HILLS (KDKA) — Emergency crews responded to a fire in Penn Hills early Sunday morning.
  The fire broke out shortly after 2:30 a.m. at a commercial building in the 200-block of Sandy Creek Road.
  According to the Penn Hills No. 7 Volunteer Fire Company, the fire was in the front and side of the building. The fire grew to two alarms, and it took crews about an hour to bring the fire under control.

  CLAYSVILLE (KDKA) — A woman was killed in a 1-vehicle crash in Claysville on Sunday morning.
  The crash happened on I-70 just after 10 a.m.
  The Washington County coroner’s office identified the victim as 37-year-old Christina Marie Noel, of Claysville.
  According to the coroner’s office, Noel was traveling eastbound on I-70 when she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle traveled 216 feet before it hit an upright sign support and rolled, coming to rest on its roof.
