East New York fire leaves victim in critical condition

A victim is reportedly still in critical condition Friday after being pulled from a fourth-floor fire in East New York last week, according to the FDNY.Firefighters responded to 155 Wortman Ave. just after 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 10 following several calls reporting a fire on the fourth floor.Members of Ladder Company 103 forced their way into the apartment and found a resident semi-conscious amid burning materials, according to the FDNY.[caption id="attachment_248924" align="alignnone" width="1200"]

Brooklyn man dies in motorcycle crash on Queensboro Bridge westbound ramp in Long Island City: NYPD

Traffic was snarled in and around Long Island City after a Brooklyn motorcycle rider died after crashing on the Queensboro Bridge on the night of Thursday, Sept. 17.
Police from the 108th Precinct in Long Island City responded to a 911 call at approximately 6:20 p.m. reporting a motor vehicle collision on the westbound lanes of the span.
