(WANE) – Indiana is following a larger, national trend of teachers shortages, particularly in special education.In the face of teacher shortages, Indiana has taken to alternative routes such as the Transition to Teaching program. While these programs have helped hasten the road to teacher licensure, it is simply not enough to fully address the shortage. Not enough people are pursuing education.
