    GRANT COUNTY, Ind. -- A Grant County woman was arrested and charged for her alleged role in an overdose death a year ago.
    The Grant County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 30-year-old Gabrielle Wortman for allegedly supplying drugs that led to the overdose death of an individual in April 2023, according to GCSO. Wortman has been preliminarily charged with a level 1 felony of dealing in a substance resulting in death.

    Air conditioner costs could rise with new regulations
    FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Air conditioner costs may be on the rise as a new refrigerant will be introduced soon.
    The current refrigerant in HVAC systems, R-410A, is being phased out following new regulations from the Environmental Protection Agency. The A2L refrigerants - which will be introduced in January of next year - have a 75% lower global warming potential, meaning they are less harmful to the ozone layer.

    FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - July 2024 is nearly in the books and it certainly has been an unusual month in the temperature department. July 2024 may be the first below average month in some timeWith just two days to go in the month of July, we have yet to make it up to the 90 degree mark. This comes after our toasty month of June, where we climbed to 90 degrees or above eight times, including seven straight times in the middle of the month.June saw eight 90 degree days in Fort Wayne.
