    PERU, Ind. (AP) — A more than 100-year-old coal-fired power plant in Peru is set to be razed after the city-run facility was permanently decommissioned last year.

    SPENCER, Ind. (AP) — Authorities say an explosion that leveled a rural central Indiana house last week was set by the homeowner and he died in the blast.

    When firefighters got to the home in the 11000 block of Cresskill Court around 7:30 p.m., they found an attached garage fully engulfed in flames. It was spreading to the attic.
    The adult and two pets inside the house were able to get out safely and no one was hurt.
