  DENVER (CBS4) – Denver-based United Airlines broke ground on its new flight training center in the Central Park neighborhood. The goal is to prepare for a pilot hiring surge.
  The 4-story, 23-acre center will house advance flight simulators, training classrooms and offices. The campus currently has 39 full-motion flight simulators and 15 fixed training devices, but the new space will allow for 13 more simulators and 13 more training devices.

  BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Authorities arrested a woman in eastern Boulder County after they say she stole a vehicle following a deadly crash she was involved in and then drove off. The crash happened at 11:28 a.m. on South Boulder Road near 68th Street.

• Former Deputy Charged With Taking Contraband Into Detention Facility In Douglas County

  (CBS4) – A former Douglas County sheriff’s deputy is charged with taking contraband into the detention facility in Castle Rock.

  Carley Jackson, 25, was arrested on Tuesday on five charges, including bribery and attempt to influence a public servant. She bonded out of jail later in the day.
  Investigators are not releasing details of what she allegedly took into the jail. They said their investigation is still ongoing.

  ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (AP) – Authorities say rescuers have recovered the body of a man who was killed in a weekend rock fall and avalanche that also injured two climbers at Rocky Mountain National Park.
  Park spokeswoman Kyle Patterson says that a helicopter crew lifted the man’s body from the avalanche zone on Mount Meeker on Tuesday.
  The Boulder County Coroner’s office planned to release the man’s identity after an autopsy, Patterson says.
