  • 14-20 Vehicles Involved In Crash On I-70 During Morning Snow Fall

    DENVER (CBS4) – Icy and snowy conditions played a role in a massive pile-up on Interstate 70 near Vasquez Boulevard in Denver Sunday morning. Police say 14 to 20 vehicles were involved.

  • Citizen Prevents Police Chief From Being Shot By Colorado Runaway

    SALINA, Utah (CBS4) — An armed citizen is being credited with keeping the Salina City Police’s chief from being shot in the back.
    Chief Al Taylor was arresting one of three occupants of a vehicle that was chased into Salina by state troopers on November 7. The vehicle, an Infiniti with Colorado plates, raced through the city at speeds near 100 mph, according to police, before Chief Taylor cut off the driver’s escape.

    BOULDER COUNTY, CO – Dozens of mule deer in Boulder County will be tagged and equipped with GPS trackers in the coming weeks. Boulder County officials and Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers are working to track deer in hopes of staying ahead of chronic wasting disease.

  • Two Workers Fatally Electrocuted At Denver Company’s Mine Near Moab

    MOAB, Utah (AP) — Authorities say two workers were electrocuted and a third injured Saturday when industrial equipment at a potash mine in eastern Utah touched a power line.
    The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office says Russell Helquist and Matthew Johnston died at the Intrepid Potash facility near Moab and a third man, Arthur Secrest, was flown to an unspecified Salt Lake City hospital after being found unconscious but breathing.
